A Sampson Hancock "Norman" Tureen c.1850
A Sampson Hancock "Norman" Tureen c.185017 31 15
A "Norman" pattern tureen made by Sampson & Hancock in about 1858. The orange, yellow and gold hand painted detailing is in excellent condition, and the detail on the handles which resemble bamboo is particularly fine.
Good: The colour is excellent and most of the gold painted detail is intact. The interior shows signs of use including chips to the interior edge (hidden by the lid) and some stains and wear on the inside, including a hairline crack which has been repaired.
