A beautiful example of a French oak 18th century sideboard.
Features:
- Made in a rural area of France, in the 1700s
- Wooden peg construction
- Charming naïve carvings of flowers
- Spacious interior with one wide shelf
- Original iron hardware
- The perfect height for a kitchen bench
AGE:
1700s
DIMENSIONS:
97.8 cm high
192 cm wide
52.5 cm deep
CONDITION:
Very good: It shows signs of wear and age. The base of the sideboard consists of multiple oak panels, which are sitting loose like the central shelf. The top is made of two long pieces of oak, and a divide can clearly be seen between them where the pieces have separated over time. The doors have sagged very slightly, and require a small push to close. This could be remedied with a magnetic door catch.
