A Pair of Regency Walnut Chairs Early 1800s
A pair of walnut chairs from the early 1800s, in excellent condition. Each chair has a curved toprail flanked by downswept sides, and elegant saber legs.
The upholstered seats are detachable for easy re-covering.
Underneath each chair a brass plaque is affixed with the name of the House "Les Fils d'Alfred Wimphen, 25 rue du Faubourg St Antoine in Paris". (A well reputed Parisian antique dealer that no longer exists).
Very good - Some repairs have been discretely carried out underneath to reinforce stability.
