An English oak desk tidy with decorative nickel panels. The desk tidy has a single compartment for envelopes, and a hole in which rests a removable bottle that would have held pounce. Pounce is a powder that was used in a shaker, to shake over your letters in order to dry the ink.

CONDITION:
Very good- shows expected signs of wear for its age, the bottle has two chips in the base. As the base is very thick this does not effect its use, nor can you see the damage when it rests in the desk tidy.
