A Victorian mourning pendant c.1880. The large central moonstone is set in 14 karat gold studded with seed pearls.
The inscription on the reverse reads "Marianne", and "In memory of Abram Barber Obt 23 Feb 1852 at 56".
No gold markings, tested as 14 karat gold.
Material: 14 karat gold, seed pearls, moonstone, enamel.
Date made: Antique - 1880s.
Weight: 9 grams
Size: 5 cm x 3 cm
Condition: Good. The enamel is damaged in the bottom right quadrant, one seed pearl is missing. There is a broken fitting on the bottom which most likely held a smaller drop pendant.
