A French Gilded Bronze Six Light 'Mazarin' Chandelier c.1880
A French gilded bronze six light antique 'Mazarin' chandelier, circa 1880, converted to electricity. The arms are square gauge scrolling arms, decoratively clad with acanthus leaves, with circular bobeche drip pans. The arms stretch out from an ornate reeded central column which is a notable feature of this chandelier. The central column terminates in a decorative inverted finial below. It has the original ceiling rose, with lovely faded original patination throughout. This chandelier is of good quality and very well cast. Fully rewired and tested.
The chain is not original, and can be adjusted to any length required.
All of our chandeliers come with bulbs, and are transported in custom-made wooden crates with the utmost care.
Width: 64 cm
Height: 73 cm (from the top ring to the bottom)
Drop: 114 cm (from the ceiling rose to the bottom)
Excellent: The gilt brass shows signs of fading in places which is a lovely feature, giving it an appropriately aged appearance. There is no damage, and it has been completely re-wired and tested. The chain is not original.
